Yesterday night was Isaac's graduation from Yamaha Music Class and now he is officially a certified Yamaha MusicKid. Wah! Sounds like so grand but actually he just learnt to sing some songs, read 2 to 3 notes, play the castanet and got lots of stickers, nothing much.

Yesterday he did a group presentation and played an instrument for all the parents who came. His music teacher presented him with his graduation cert and gave out some presents and balloons. All of us parents came with a cameras and viewcams, it was like a press conference given by some superstars. The whole room was packed by 'paparazzis' and 'mamarazzis' who was trying their very best to get the best camera angles of their child. Thank God there were police and Rela to control the situation and if not things could get out of hand.

Then it was time for food. Every mum has to prepare a kind of food for potluck and Ching Pei quickly volunteered to bring fruits which I think is the simplest thing to prepare. There were mee hoon, nuggets, frankfurters, tarts, pizzas and even a Spiderman cake. The cake was for a boy's birthday celebration and Isaac wanted to eat Spiderman's head but instead he got his hand and some web. During food there were some meaningless chit-chatting among the parents and teacher. The teacher gave a short speech, thanking us parents for giving her our support and for paying her salary.(just joking) All the kids there will be continuing to Junior Music Class next week except for 2 who will not be joining.

Everyone quickly packed up their respective left-over food and containers and left because the next class is waiting to use the room. So I think last night, the kids had fun and the parents had some containers to wash. This is what us parents need to do in order to nurture our kids to be the next Wang Lee Hom or Jay Chou.

While we were waiting for the lift to go home, we were very surprised to see Uncle Nic and Qi Hern came out of the lift. We asked him what he was doing there and he told us that he wanted to buy nappy rash for their baby. He purposely came all the way to Subang Parade to buy just that, Wow! what a great dad. So we accompanied him to purchase the nappy rash from Mothercare and went home.

A thousand congratulations to Uncle Nic and Aunty Abby for the arrival of their newest 'chee ku ting'. Nobody predicted the delivery date correctly, even the doctor is wrong. Although Ah Kum nearly guessed it right but he was a little bit early so too bad.

Are the both of you ready to embark again on the journey to parenthood? The loss of sleep, the night shifts, the crying, the diapers and milk powders. Aiyoh, all this seems so familiar to me and both of you are going through it again.

May God give you the strength and patience to face your new challenges and most important, to savour the precious moment of caring for your newborn. May your baby grow up to be strong and healthy, to be an obedient kid.
Although we are all tired but we certainly had fun during our zoo outing. We reached the zoo at about 10 something and proceeded to watch the animal show which involved 2 orang utans, a parrot and a seal. Right after the show, we went for a she-she break and began our trek across the zoo.

We saw all kinds of animals but most of them are either hiding in some bushes or having a snooze in some shady area which makes it a task for us to find them. The kids are somewhat not that interested in the animals which I think mainly is because they have already seen in it on Astro nearly everyday.

The zoo had slightly upgraded itself since my last visit last year but it still doesn't have enough attractions or even animals to be worth the RM15 for adults, RM6 for children and RM7.50 for senior citizen's entrance fee. So I think the overall look and feel of the zoo is nothing to shout about.

So after lingering for about 3 hours there, we were all tired and hungry. We climb aboard our cars and proceeded to a nearby restaurant, New Heong Kee where they serve their famous dish, the beggar chicken. We were so hungry that we ordered 10 dishes to satisfy our tummies and we cleaned up every single morsels of food served. By the time we finished and left the place, it was around 3 something already.

But before we left, Uncle Wai suggested that our next outing to be at Lake Gardens for a picnic. Other minor details and date will be confirmed later. So I'll be looking forward to our next outing then.
